Owasso Names Leslie Van Meter as Head Varsity Cheer Coach

 

15873479_10208636996779193_7810277893104407379_n(1)04/23/2018 – Owasso Public Schools has announced that Leslie Van Meter has been hired as the Head Varsity Cheer Coach.  Coach Van Meter has coached at Norman North High School for the past four years, serving as Head Varsity Coach for the past two years.  Prior to coaching at Norman North Coach Van Meter was a collegiate cheerleader for The University of Oklahoma.  Her experience includes coaching squads in Game Day State, Competitive State, Nationals, and STUNT.

 

Coach Van Meter’s vast knowledge of cheerleading and leadership experience will be key factors in advancing the cheer program in Owasso.   With this hire, the Owasso Athletic Department will be releasing tryout information to its student athletes in the near future.
