The US National Weather Service in Tulsa reports wintry precipitation is expected to break out on Thursday across the area continuing into Friday.

warning

Precipitation may begin as a mix of sleet and freezing rain across much of northeast Oklahoma into parts of northwest Arkansas…eventually transitioning to all snow later Thursday night into Friday.  Significant sleet and snow accumulations will be possible.

Areas farther south in southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas are expected to see more sleet and freezing rain with significant icing possible. Precipitation type, amounts and timing will continue to be fine tuned over the next few days but confidence is high enough that a winter storm watch has been issued for the area for Thursday into Friday.
