Review: Did you know Los Cabos has Weekend Brunch?

I recently learned that Los Cabos in Owasso was serving brunch on the weekends, and decided to give it a try.  We arrived at the restaurant at 10:30 this morning. It was quiet with only a couple other diners seen. Seats were filling up as we left.

We were seated and given both their regular and brunch menus as options.

The brunch menu has an array of breakfast items from traditional American cuisine to those with the Mexican flare. Brunch prices range from 7.95 to 10.95.  They also offer Mimosas and Bloody Marys – complete with a Bloody Mary “fixen” bar.

You now how sometimes a great meal can seem not so great when you get bad service?  I was very thankful Heather, our waitress was top notch and what you hope for in wait staff.

I was leaning toward the  “Colossal Belgian Waffle” topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream but at the last minute decided on the Breakfast Quesadilla with bacon. My brunch partner tried the Breakfast Burrito.

The Quesadilla (8.95)  was made with large tortillas and cut into 6 sections. Two of us could literally split it and been more than full.  Half was brought home to enjoy for another meal.  It was served with fried country potatoes . It was just the right amount of toasty – not to soft and not over done.  I also tried the large ($4) Mimosa which was chilled perfectly.

The Breakfast Burrito ($9.95) was a large flour tortilla stuffed with scrambled eggs, sausage,  mixed cheese and fried potatoes.  No left overs there, as every bite was enjoyed.

Other options included: Breakfast Tacos, Huevos Rancheros, Biscuit and Gravy, Chilquiles, Tamales al Fresco, Cali Omelet, Breakfast Americana. Breakfast Sandwich and Belgian Waffle.  An array of juices are also available.

There is also a children’s menu offering French Toast Sticks, One egg with fried potatoes or Belgian Waffle for $5.50.

If you are looking for a weekend brunch option, it is definitely worth a try. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm.
