Gracie Marie KeeGracie Marie Kee longtime resident of Owasso, was born June 27, 1942, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Joseph Nathan and Laura Pearl Avery Williams. She passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Marie graduated with the Friendship High School Class of 1960 where she enjoyed playing basketball and softball. She was married July 1, 1961, in Friendship, to Sam Kee. They moved to Memphis where Marie worked with the Welcome Wagon of Memphis, Tennessee, First National Bank in Memphis, then with Fram Safety Products. She and Sam then moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1974. She began her career with Oklahoma Natural Gas. She enjoyed several pastimes including traveling with her husband, camping and fishing, cooking and gardening and getting Braum’s chocolate milkshakes with the grandkids. Her greatest joy has always been spending time with her family. She was very proud of her kids and grand-kids and enjoyed her role as Grandma “Nan”. She was a longtime faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso and strong in her Christian faith. Her faith, family and friends were the most important things in her life. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, generous, strong woman, and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
 
 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Final resting place will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
