06/16/2025 – The Owasso Fire Department had an unexpected visitor during a recent shift—a young deer found itself in quite the predicament at the city’s wastewater treatment plant.
Crews were dispatched to the scene after the animal somehow ended up in one of the facility’s tanks. Despite the slippery situation, firefighters were able to safely rescue the deer, who was understandably soggy but otherwise unharmed.
Thanks to the quick response and teamwork of the department, the deer was returned to dry land and is now safely back where it belongs.
Just another day for Owasso’s first responders—who “deerly” love what they do!
