In the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 23, Owasso Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the Honey Creek Addition near 10300 E. 97th Street North. A homeowner reported seeing suspects attempting to open car doors on parked vehicles and provided officers with a description of a white sedan carrying multiple occupants.
Officers quickly saturated the area and located a vehicle matching the description near 96th Street North. When officers attempted to make contact, the driver turned off the headlights and entered Caudle Estates, a nearby one-way-in, one-way-out neighborhood. As the vehicle circled back, it was met by waiting officers.
A traffic stop was conducted, and five juvenile males from Tulsa were found inside the vehicle along with several items belonging to Owasso residents, including a wallet containing personal contents. Investigators confirmed the group had burglarized at least one vehicle, with the possibility of additional victims.
All five juveniles were arrested on charges of Burglary From Auto and transported to the Community Intervention Center in Tulsa. Police are working to identify and contact additional victims.
