Barbara Ann CookBarbara Ann Cook, 80, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Barbara was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, on September 12, 1942, to James “June” and Doris Melvinia Allision. Barbara was one of nine children. She attended school and graduated as a Henryetta Hen in 1960. She later attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. She met Warren Cook in Shawnee and were married on October 11, 1963.
Some of Barbara’s favorite activities were reading and studying the Bible, doing crossword puzzles, running around with Jane, her sister, and spending time with family. Barbara always had a strong work ethic throughout her life. Throughout her career, she had experience owning her own restaurant, working as an administrative assistant, and managing apartment complexes. Barbara only recently retired for health reasons.
Barbara and Warren lived in Shawnee for many years until moving their family to Oologah, Oklahoma, in 1979. They raised their four children in the Rogers County area and continued to live there until Warren’s passing. In November of 2021, Barbara moved to Melbourne, Florida, to live with her daughter.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Kevin Cook and wife, Suzanne, of Oklahoma City; son, Keith Cook and wife, Pamela, of Claremore; daughter, Kimberly Garland and Craig Kupec, of Melbourne, Florida; son-in-law, Scott Claybrook of Pryor, Oklahoma; siblings Wynona Winkelpleck of California; Wayne Allison of California, Faye Foreman of Norman, Oklahoma; Jane Allison Pinkston of Claremore, OK; Darrell Allison of Tonkawa OK.

Barbara was blessed with seven grandchildren: Rachel and John Ryan Cook, Dillion, Travis, and Myracle Claybrook, Davis (wife, Brittany), and Carson Cook, and two great-grandchildren, Keith and Nathan Cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Claybrook, and siblings, Frank Allison, Peggy June Allision, and Lawana Caudle.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Lester Orwig officiating. Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Talala. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
