There are 8,288 kids in foster care in the state of Oklahoma. Because of abuse, neglect and drugs children walk through the doors of our local emergency shelters every day with nothing more than the clothes on their back. To add insult to injury, their belongings may be kept in trash bags, which only makes them feel more like useless people.
Children placed in foster care are taken by the police to the county emergency shelter for evaluation and placement. In the most hopeless moment of their lives, Rising Hope Foundation will provide each child with a backpack or duffle bag containing much needed personal hygiene items. They will also be given comfort items such as blankets, books, writing supplies, photo albums, and small toys.

You can support Rising Hope in many ways:

- Make a financial donation so we can purchase backpacks and duffle bags and have the option of buying in bulk from large companies.
