Betty Lou ScottBetty Lou Scott was born February 7, 1935, in Kinta, Oklahoma, to Harley Otis and Dovie Mae Virden Shelton. She died Friday, June 26, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Betty was reared and educated in Kinta, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Kinta High School Class of 1953. She spent most of her working life with Crane Carrier in Tulsa as a supervisor. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including ceramics, but especially anything with a needle and thread including cross stitching, needlepoint, knitting, and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time cooking.

 

Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Her son and daughter-in-law; Jeff and Lisa Scott, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Stephanie Taylor and wife Bridget, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Ethan Scott and Madison Scott, both of Owasso
Sister; Maxine Bookout, of Boley, Oklahoma
Kay Shelton, of Quinton, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Charles Shelton, Bob Shelton, and Thomas Shelton.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with graveside service being held 2:00 that afternoon at the Quinton Cemetery in Quinton, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
