Beverly Sue Shivers

Beverly Sue Shivers was born December 24, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jesse Fred and
Laura Marcelline Williams Twombley. She died Friday, September 20, 2019, in Springfield,
Missouri, at the age of 64 years. Beverly completed her secondary education in Tulsa and
graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1973, where she was an active baton
twirler and was proud to be a Lasso Girl. She continued her education attending Tulsa
Community College for business. Beverly worked in business management jobs at OG Wilson,
United Video, Tayloe Paper, FloraFax, and Decision 1. Beverly had lived and worked in Indiana
from 1999-2011 for Rolls Royce and Anthem Blue cross and blue shield before moving to
Springfield, Missouri, to be closer to family, particularly the grandkids. She spent her time in
Springfield working at Mercy Hospital as a patient access coordinator. She enjoyed a variety of
pastimes including going to shows in Branson and taking her grandkids swimming. She
cherished her grandchildren and especially enjoyed her role as “Mimi”.

 

Those she leaves behind who hold very fond memories include: Children; Jessica
Mountjoy, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Stepson Ray Shivers and his wife Marti, of Chouteau,
Oklahoma, Grandchildren; Jayson Shivers and Kayla Rose, of Springfield, Missouri; Skylen
Shivers, of Springfield, Missouri; Destinee Gordon and Dakota Southard, of Tulsa; Ayden
Mountjoy, of Tulsa; Sara Swope, of Springfield, Missouri; Cassidy Palmer and husband Michael,
of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Five wonderful Great Grandchildren. Her sister; Sandy Bunch, of
Collinsville, Oklahoma. Her Niece Angela Haney and her husband Larry, of Wellston, Ok;
nephews Jerry Beal and his wife Tammy, of Beggs, Ok and Benjamin Beal, of Vera, Ok. Seven
great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her Aunt Betty Owens, Daughter, Brandelyn
Shivers, step daughter Dawn Shivers, and son-in-law, Christopher Mountjoy.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at
Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday,
September 26, 2019, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Larry Haney
and David Shivers officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Sandridge
Cemetery in rural Owasso, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery
