The Bailey Education Foundation is pleased to announce the 2015 Bailey Education Foundation Scholarship recipients. We would like to thank everyone who applied for a scholarship and congratulate those who were selected this year.

The Bailey Education Foundation awarded $5,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and those pursing continuing education with an emphasis in a career in a medical field.

This scholarship program was established this year and we are very proud to honor these remarkable candidates.

Tracy L. Foster
Ms. Foster is continuing her education with the Marysville University Master of Science in Nursing Nurse Practitioner Program after successfully completing her Bachelors of Science Program with Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She is currently the Director of the Bariatric Program at Bailey Medical Center.  Being active in her community, Tracy says “I have had the pleasure to volunteer with charity events for local and national organizations. Some of those include Oklahoma Special Olympics, Amazing Games, Miss Amazing Pageant…just to name a few. Currently, having the chance to reach out to the community with adults and children to motivate and promote healthy lifestyles by engaging the schools, teachers and parents in events and partnerships.  Bailey Educational Foundation Tracy continues by adding “The clinical experience I received throughout my career has only ignited my passion. Nursing is not just my chosen profession, but who I am.”

Rebecca A. Stang
Ms. Stang is currently a student at the University of Tulsa seeking a degree in medicine and continuing to medical school to begin to pursue specialties in obstetrics and gynecology. Rebecca describes her commitment “For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of my own white coat ceremony. A day when the career I have always wanted can begin. I want to make a difference in people’s lives through a degree in medicine.”

Mariah T. Briggs
Ms. Briggs is a 2015 graduate of Skiatook High School and currently enrolled at Rogers State University. During her sophomore year she enrolled in the concurrent program at TCC to further her education. Not only has she completed 38 hours concurrent education but maintained steady part-time employment while keeping a 4.21 weighted GPA. Mariah plans to further her education with a associates degree in Biology and then continue her education pursuing a Bachelor in Medical Molecular.

Riley D. Vancuren
Ms. Vancuren is a 2015 graduate of Owasso High School and currently enrolled at Oklahoma State University pursuing a major in Engineering. Riley writes “I have been most influenced by my time spent in varsity sports and missions. Being a part of a team has not only helped me in my interaction with others, but it has also been the source of many of my favorite memories. Through missions…I have learned that a person’s life situation has no effect on the amount of happiness they have – something that many people do not understand or believe.”
