B DutyBilly Charles “Chuck” Duty was born May 26, 1943, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Finis Andrew and Vivian Cletus Roberts Duty. He died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. Chuck was reared and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1961. He continued his education at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma, and then Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business. He finished his studies at the University of Tulsa earning a degree in accounting. Chuck was married April 7, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Karen Bourne. He spent most of his working life as an accountant with Amoco, Reading and Bates, and Sun Oil, in Tulsa. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, the Elks Lodge, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including studying history, coin collecting, and gun collecting.

Kimberly Mason and husband Ryan, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Alexis Mason, Alyssa Mason, Brooke Mason, Paige Mason, Leah Mason,
Abbey Horine, and Katy Horine
Sister and brother-in-law; Jo and Dale Wallace, of Owasso, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of friends will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel followed by a private family interment at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Chuck’s memory to Clarehouse, 7617 South Mingo Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74133.
