Billy V. McBeeBilly V. McBee was born December 27, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Isaac Nathan and Gracie Mae Veach McBee. He died Saturday, July 31, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Bill completed his secondary education in Tulsa, then served honorably with the United States Air Force. He spent most of his working life as an inventory controller with Baird Manufacturing Corporation. He was a longtime faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso where he served as secretary handling and organizing Sunday School records. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including working word search puzzles, playing cards, particularly the game Jokers. He also enjoyed traveling and had vacationed taking several cruises. He became fond of plastic canvas embroidery and made all kinds of decorations for family and friends. He liked to watch old western movies, especially those that featured John Wayne. Billy was known for making delicious peanut brittle, and had even won 1st Place at the Tulsa State Fair.

Stepson; Mike Brinkmeyer and wife Teresa, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Matthew Lakey, Aaron Lakey, Daniel Lakey, David Lakey, Tricia Wright,
Richard Jason McBee, and Kenneth Joshua McBee
Step grandchildren; Jenna Parker, Megan Canady, Kyle Brinkmeyer, and Cameron Brinkmeyer
And a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Edna McBee, daughter, Patricia Jean Lakey, sister, Leah Barnes, brother, Nathan Isaac McBee, and sister, Delores Robinett.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Kevin Laufer officiating. Serving as honorary casket bearers will be Bun Wright, James Burwell, Tom Weldon, Ed Hyde, Randy Trotter, and Leon Shade. Final resting place will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Central Baptist Church in memory of Billy McBee, 9110 North 145th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
