caleneCalene “Ann” Adams was born January 18, 1937, in Fairland, Oklahoma, to Jesse Calvin and Delphia Oneida (Messimore) Sutton. She died Saturday, July 19, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. Ann was reared and educated in Afton, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Afton High School. She was married March 16, 1956, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Millard E. “Moe” Adams. They had made their home in Owasso since 1973. Ann worked various jobs throughout her life but was primarily a homemaker and cared for her family. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sewing and making quilts. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and an occasional visit to the casino.

Loving family members include: Two daughters and sons-in-law; Beverly and Mike Saturday, of Martinez, Georgia Sandy and Kevin Vossen, of Owasso Five grandchildren; Aaron and Jake Vossen Katie, Corey, and Zac Saturday Two brothers and sisters-in-law; Dean and Shirley Sutton, of Owasso Jerry and Winnie Sutton, of Henderson, Nevada Two sisters and brothers-in-law; Jean and Dan Brown, of Harlem, Georgia Jeanetta and Bob Garman, of Purcell, OK She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Moe Adams, and a sister, Vonnie Peterman.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
