Carolyn May Sword was born April 21, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to George R. Heck and Mildred J. (Berberstein) Heck. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Carolyn raised and educated in Fort Wayne and graduated with the Northside High School Class of 1951. She was married on August 15, 1953 to Charles Harter, and after his passing she was later married to Gene Sword on June 27, 1999. Carolyn spent many years of her working life as an Administrative Assistant for Yuba Heat Transfer in Tulsa. She was a proud and faithful member of the Anglican Church of St. Paul in Owasso and also the Red Hat Society. She Enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as gardening, reading and painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred, first husband, Charles, late husband, Gene, son in law, Kevin, and daughter in law, Mary.
