Funeral cross with sunraysClyde William (Buck) Buchanan, resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Monday, December 19, 2016 doing what he loved, feeding his cattle. Buck was born February 13, 1943 at Olustee, OK; the son of Walter E. and Eunice (Norris) Buchanan. He was raised and received his education at Eldorado, OK, graduating high school there. Buck served his country for four years and four months with the U.S. Navy. After the military, he settled in Tulsa, OK to attend Spartan School of Aeronautics obtaining his Avionics degree.
On November 18, 1967 he and Nancy Ann Neal were united in marriage in Tulsa, OK. To this union, two children were born. Buck and Nancy made their home in the Dallas/Irving Texas area until 1976, when they moved to Owasso. Buck was a mechanic and crew chief for American Airlines until retirement in 1997. Buck never met a stranger. He loved the farm life and taking care of his cattle. Animals and children were drawn to him.

Those that survive include his wife of 49 years – Nancy; their children – Craig Buchanan and wife Leah of Stillwater, OK and Tina Roach and husband Terry of Broken Arrow, OK. Also surviving is a sister Kathleen Anderson of Canon City, Colorado and sister-in-law Sarah Ann Buchanan of Greenville, Florida. Buck was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Harold Buchanan.

Memorial services for Buck will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
