Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a collision occurred Saturday evening at approximately 6:06pm on US Highway 169 southbound at 61st street north approximately .50 mile south of the Owasso city limits in Tulsa County.
A 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Richard R. Denney, age 55 of Collinsville was traveling southbound on US169 when he lost control and departed the roadway to the left, striking the barrier wall. The motorcycle travelled approximately 200ft from the point of impact with the rider coming to rest approximately 100 ft from the motorcycle. Denny was transported by Owasso EMS to St John hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk external, trunk internal, arms and leg injuries.
OHP list the cause of accident as driving at speeds greater than reasonable and proper. Denney was not wearing a helmet.
