Danny Jack StoutDanny Jack Stout was born December 27, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jack Walton Stout and Paula Marie Kerr Stout. He died Monday, May 8, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. Danny was a lifetime resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1967. He continued his education attending Oklahoma State Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Danny has always had a love for cars and racing, so while in school he was at a slot car track, which was above the skating rink in Henryetta, when he met his future wife Pamela Dickey. She was at the roller-skating rink she went upstairs to the slot car track. Not long after, Danny and Pamela were married on February 22, 1969, in Owasso, Oklahoma, a marriage that lasted over 54 years. Danny’s professional career has always been involved with car parts and tools, starting with Standard Auto in Owasso, then later with Snap-On Tools, Owasso NAPA, Bumper to Bumper, Clifford Power, and then Robertson Tire. He was the longest active member of First Church Owasso, formerly First Christian Church. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, but especially spending time out on the water fishing. He was an avid racing fan, particularly NASCAR. He loved Ford vehicles. He also loved watching his favorite football teams, the Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys (America’s Team!). On 12/25/2007, Danny had a lifesaving liver transplant. He liked to say “Don’t take your organs to Heaven. You will not need them there”. In recent years he enjoyed watching cooking shows, learning recipes and cooking techniques, and grilling for friends and family. Danny was a special friend and was never shy of adding a joke or quip. He was particularly fond of his role as “Papa” to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Paula Stout, and sister, Pam Gates.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at First Church Owasso with Pastor Chad Broaddus officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Lonnie Terrell, Brian Crocker, Martin Lyons, Seth Robinson, Jaden Thomason, Austin Maddox, and D.J. Turner. Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Danny’s memory to the First Church Building Fund, 10100 North Garnett Road, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
