Darrell Lavon TatumDarrell Lavon Tatum was born August 18, 1939, in Chelsea, Oklahoma, to Zack Nathaniel and Pearl Leaster Keener Tatum. He died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, in Springdale, Arkansas, at the age of 80 years. Darrell was reared and educated in Ramona, Oklahoma, where he graduated with the Ramona High School Class of 1957. He was married October 2, 1979, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Billie Burke. He spent over 40 years of his working life in uniform sales and delivery, primarily with Yale Uniforms in Tulsa. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including time spent fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and working in his garden. He was fondly known as “Skippy” and “Papa Darrell”.

Clairese Barchenger, of Tontitown, Arkansas
Norman Roberts, of Warner, Oklahoma
A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren
Two sisters; Vada Kerr, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Joy Koss, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill Tatum and Jimmy Tatum, daughter, Karen Harvel, and stepson, Troy Roberts.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Daniel Baker, Elijah Barchenger, Aaron Barchenger, Brian Barchenger, Mike Tatum, and Norman Roberts. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
