Dianne Chamberlain was born April 4, 1957, in Tulsa, the middle child between her two brothers. Steve, the older one who was her protector and Zeke, the younger who was her baby. She left this life late Sunday evening, September 14, 2025, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years. Dianne completed her secondary education in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1975. She continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and studied to become a music teacher. She made the decision to leave school early to take care of her parents when they became ill.
Dianne’s family was one that enjoyed music and would sing and play instruments all during the years of her growing up. She could play the guitar and bass very well and would play sometimes until blisters would form, burst, and form again before stopping. She could tune a guitar without using anything but her ears. Rest assured, if you hit a wrong note, her face would be the first thing to let you know. Dianne even gave music lessons for a time. She enjoyed any type of get-together that included music. Even when it got to the point that she could no longer play, she still enjoyed going and listening.
Dianne worked many years as a buyer for multiple companies until her health failed her and she could no longer work. Even after early retirement, Dianne still enjoyed life. She loved cuddling with all her fur babies. She loved to go on long car rides with the top down, no particular destination, just going. Once she was no longer able to get in and out of the car, the rides had to move to a larger vehicle, but she was still able to enjoy. She also enjoyed her television shows such as Perry Mason, Law and Order, and developed a love for soap operas.
After years of struggle, Dianne’s body decided it was enough. The Friday before she passed, she was able to connect with numerous people she had not seen for some time. Maybe that was the universes way of allowing her to say goodbye to some of the important people in her life. She always said things happen for a reason. Even though we grieve her passing, there is comfort knowing she is experiencing a great family reunion. No doubt she found Edward and Sassy and got lots of loving from both of them. Those she leaves behind who hold a lifetime of memories include:
