E CookCharles Eldon Cook was born December 3, 1943, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Charles Hubert and Reca Naomi (Mason) Cook. He died Thursday, February 4, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Eldon was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Nathan Hale High School Class of 1962. He was married December 5, 1964, in Tulsa to Elsie Quinton. They had made their home in Owasso since 1982. Eldon spent most of his working life with American Airlines in Tulsa and at the time of his retirement was a crew chief. He was a longtime faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso. He was also a member of the Transport Workers Union Local #514. Eldon had achieved the level of 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the Akdar Shrine Scooter Unit. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including golfing and bowling. He was proud of the fact throughout his lifetime that he had donated over 30 gallons of blood, just one example of the giving and helpfulness he had toward his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eunice Maslanka and Joyce Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Jerry Rosecrans and Barry Morgan officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida, 33607. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
