Everett Ellis Beard, resident of Collinsville and formerly of Kingman, Kansas passed from this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the home of his sister. Everett was 84 years of age. He was born March 31, 1932 in Kingman, the son of Floyd Crane and Gladys Opal (Day) Beard. Everett was raised in Kingman, living there until 1998 when he came to live with his sister Betty Janzen. Everett enjoyed watching the old TV shows on TV-Land; riding his bicycle collecting cans and when growing up on the farm – chopping wood.
Everett is survived by his siblings – Betty Janzen and fiancé Charles “Chick” Jones of Collinsville; Warren Beard of Kingman, KS and Jim Beard of Superior, NE. Also surviving are nieces Kim Beard, Stephanie Sweat, Debbie Ferris, Sherrill Carper and Sundra Beard; nephews Eric, Scott, Stan and Kevin Beard; and special grandnephews Casey and Jeffrey Sweat. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Lynn and Tom Beard and a niece Starla Howes.
