Everett Wayne SimpsonEverett Wayne Simpson went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2021 at the age of 97. He was born on December 6, 1923 in Meeker, Oklahoma, one of six children to Walter and Hope Simpson. The family moved to Seminole, Oklahoma where he attended school. In 1941 when he turned 18 he enlisted in the Navy where he served his country with honor aboard the USS Nashville. Wayne married the love of his life Billie Ann Miller on July 5, 1946 in Ada, Oklahoma, they were married 68 years. Wayne was baptized into the body of Christ in 1961. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Barnsdall, Oklahoma and later transferred his membership to First Church of Owasso.

He is survived by his children, Diane Clem , Owasso, OK, Duane and Kathy Simpson, Broken Arrow, OK, three grandchildren, Kevin Clem, Owasso, OK; Alicia and Matthew Collins, Edmond, OK; Sheila and David Ellis, Tulsa, OK, and four great grandchildren Jali, Brock, Kinsler, and Sutton. One sister, Barbara and Frank Barbee, Bartlesville, OK, and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife, his parents and siblings Lloyd, Wallace, Betty, and Wanda.

Graveside service and interment will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021, at Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, with Pastor Jake Follis officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com.
