Faye Berry ThompsonFaye Evelyn Berry Thompson was born November 27, 1929, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, to George Washington and Maude Viola Buffington Martin. She died Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Faye completed her secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She spent much of her working life as a school book distributor with Tulsa Public Schools. She was a faithful Christian woman and had been an active member with Golden Hills Baptist Church in Turley, Oklahoma, then later with Rejoice Church in Owasso. She was married February 8, 2017, at the home of her daughter Susan in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Bud Thompson. Faye enjoyed a variety of pastimes including the opportunity to play a game of Bingo. She especially loved her family and her role as Grandma Faye to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Gertrude Parks, and Florence Bradley, four brothers, Everett Martin, Walter Martin, Floyd Martin, and George Martin, Jr., and son-in-law, Doyle Goins.
 
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Bryan Keith, Rodney Goins, Tony Goins, Greg Berry, Emerson Darbonne, and Gable Darbonne. Committal service and interment will follow at Osage Gardens, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
