Frances Louise Jones was born on March 2, 1938, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Harlan Columbus Ellis and Alta Lee (Best) Ellis. She passed from this life on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home in Collinsville, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. Frances was raised and educated in Muskogee and graduated with the Muskogee High School Class of 1956. She was married on June 22, 1956, in Muskogee to Leroy Dwaine Jones. Frances returned to school in 1974 and earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Tulsa. She worked as an LPN at various healthcare establishments including Sequoyah Pointe in Owasso. Frances moved to Chouteau, Oklahoma in 1994 and attended Chouteau First Baptist Church for over 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed arranging flowers, playing Bunko, baking, collecting bird figurines, and spending time with her family, and she especially loved her Shih Tzu, Rascal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Alta, brother, Simon, four sisters, Lorraine, Josephine, Betty, and Helen, and three grandchildren, Richard, Jordan, and Alexandria.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Frances’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
