Helen G. HollowayHelen G. Holloway was born April 17, 1925, in Gunter, Texas, to Edgar Davis and Edna Esta Crowse Crutcher. She died Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Helen was reared and educated in Van Alstyne, Texas, where she graduated with the Van Alstyne High School Class of 1943. She was married June 26, 1943, to Calvin Holloway. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1955. Helen had worked at the Owasso school cafeteria and at Wal-Mart, but primarily was a homemaker and cared for her family. She had been a member of First Baptist Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including cooking, sewing, quilting, and reading.

Son and daughter-in-law; James and Sandy Holloway, of Owasso
Grandchildren; Miranda, Lafe, Gary, Darrell, Leslie, Jeremy, Derek, and Jamison
Great grandchildren; Marek, Bret, Hannah, Kade, Laynie, Michael, Carson, Caden, Juliesa, Ty
Addie, Dakota, Cole, and T.J.
Siblings; Waunell Coleman, of Salt Lake City, Utah
Omega Chisum Warren, of Pampa, Texas
Johnny Crutcher, of Chickasha, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Calvin, stillborn daughter, Edith Marie Holloway, daughter, Carol Smith, brothers, Preston Crutcher, Allen Crutcher, Royce Crutcher, Harmon Crutcher, Paskell Crutcher, and Pee Wee Crutcher, and a sister, Thelma Lee Harris.
 
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2019, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Lafe Cruzan, Gary Smith, Darrell Smith, Jeremy Holloway, Derek, Holloway, and Jamison Holloway. Honorary casket bearers will be Larry Kornegay and Gary Orr. Graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the Holloway Family Cemetery in Howe, Texas. The family requests memorial contributions will be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 2448 East 81st Street, Suite #3000, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
