Helen Louise Martin passed from this life on December 26th 2013 at the age of 83. Helen passed away peacefully in her home with family present. She was born January 4th 1930 in Fayetteville Arkansas to her parents Noah & Isabel Terry that she affectionately referred to as Ma & Pa. Helen was raised in Arkansas and in 1971 married James Ben Martin with whom she joyously spent the rest of her life. Helen & Ben originally settled in North Tulsa before moving to Owasso in 1981. Helen retired from OklahomaNatural Gas Company mailroom in July of 1994. She enjoyed gardening (her flowers were a thing of beauty), sewing and spending time with her family.
Helen was proceeded in death by her parents Mr & Mrs Noah Terry, brother Bob and wife Doris, brother Clyde, Sister in law Mary Terry and beloved dog Trixie. She is survived by her husband James Ben Martin of Owasso, 2 sons Gary Glenn & Wife Joyce of Owasso, Randy Glenn & wife Deana of Oklahoma City, 1 Daughter Brenda King of Owasso, 1 brother Phil Terry of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 3 sister in laws Lou Edmond of Anioch California, Betty Palumbo of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mary Terry of Lowell, Arkansas, 1 brother in law Frank Martin & wife Charlene of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Grandchildren Greg Glenn, Jennifer Harmon, Amber Norton, Natalie King, & Shannon Underhill. Great-Grandchildren Audrey Harmon & Evan Harmon. A host of friends & relatives.
Helen will be greatly missed, she made the world a better place.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Ralph Lovvorn officiating. A private family burial will be held. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
