James “Eric” Miller was born on November 30, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bradford “Brad” Dewayne Miller and Judy (Zellner) Miller. He passed from this life on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 44.
Eric was raised and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1999. While at Owasso, he was a proud member of the baseball team, playing second base and helping lead the Rams to two state championships. His talent on the field earned him a baseball scholarship to Conners State College and Eastern Oklahoma State College before he transferred to Southern Nazarene University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business.
On June 26, 2004, Eric married the love of his life, Lacey Dawn (Jones) Miller, in Owasso. He dedicated much of his career to working alongside his family as the owner and operator of Lighthouse Electric.
A devoted member of First Church in Owasso, Eric lived his life grounded in faith and service. In his free time, he enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, camping, and spending days at the lake. He especially loved being with his family and cheering on his children as they pursued their passions. Eric had a gift for hospitality—he loved grilling out, hosting friends and family, and always dreamed of one day opening a food truck.
Eric is survived by his loving family, including:
* His wife, Lacey Miller
* His children, Baeli Miller, Aspyn Miller, and Daxton Miller
* His mother, Judy Miller
* His sister, Angela (Miller) Meadows
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family is emphatically asking that donations be made to the Eric Miller Memorial Fund to help the children through this difficult time. Please use the following link for donations.
