James Raymond “Ray” Collins was born on March 12, 1952, in Willow Springs, Missouri to James Collins and Betty Lou (Murrell) Collins. He passed from this life on Friday, September 17, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Ray was raised and educated in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with the Springfield High School Class of 1970. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served in on an Aircraft Carrier in the Mediterranean during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged Ray returned home and was married on February 6, 1976, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Robyn Marie (Jones) Collins. He spent most of his working life as truck drive with various companies, but most recently with Crete Carrier Corporation. He enjoyed a variety of past times such as playing games on his iPad and going to the YMCA.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Rideglawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma with Greg Aery officiating.
