James Robert LampkinJames Robert Lampkin was born June 12, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Robert Lee and Virginia Gertrude Netzel Lampkin. He died Friday, July 16, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years. James completed his secondary education in Oklahoma City and graduated with the Crooked Oak High School Class of 1965. James owned a Farmers Insurance agency in Owasso for many years. Later he owned and operated a Radio Shack in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He moved back to Collinsville, Oklahoma, where he was a faithful member of Shelter Free Will Baptist Church and served as a deacon. James enjoyed spending time on the water fishing. He also was excited to sell items on E-Bay. He was affectionately known as “Papa” to his grandkids and great grandkids.

Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
Three sons; Rob Lampkin and wife Geraldine, of Talala, Oklahoma
Danny Lampkin and wife Krystle, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Scott Lampkin and wife Anna, of Owasso, Oklahoma
16 grandchildren
19 great grandchildren
One great great grandson
Two brothers; Thomas Lampkin and wife Oma, of Payson, Arizona
Jerrel Lampkin and wife Renate, of Goodyear, Arizona
Sister; Sherri Lile and husband Mike, of Midwest City, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Shelter Free Will Baptist Church in Collinsville, Oklahoma, with Pastor Ronnie Thompson officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in James’ name to the Shelter Vacation Bible School Fund, 320 North 12th Street, Collinsville, Oklahoma 74021. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
