defaultTributePhotoFemale (1)Jimmie Ann Anderson was born June 21, 1933, in Green Leaf, Oklahoma to Carmack Eugene Dause and Odra (Doison) Dause. She passed from this life on Monday, August 6, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Jimmie was raised and educated near Tahlequah, Oklahoma and graduated with the Tahlequah High School Class of 1949. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in English from Northeastern State University. She was married on May 29, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Mark Anderson Jr. She taught school in Derby, Kansas for three years, then in Claremore, Oklahoma one year and then spent the remainder of her career as a Third Grade Teacher at Barnes Elementary for 31 years. Jimmie had attended First Christian Church in Owasso for over 50 years, until her health began interfering. She enjoyed a variety of past times such as playing bunco, cooking, keeping a clean house, and loving her schnauzer, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Aaron, and sister, Geneva.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Mowery Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at First Church in Owasso with Reverend Leonard Pirtle officiating. Interment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
