Jimmy Dale RobertsonJimmy Dale Robertson was born February 8, 1934 in Oologah, Oklahoma to Marcellus E. and Bertha Belle (Taylor) Robertson. He passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Collinsville, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Jim spent most of his life in Owasso, attending Owasso Public Schools. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces having served his country honorably with the United States Navy. He was married December 2, 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma to Betty Jo Reynolds. He worked several years for Burtek, which was Tulsa’s oldest Aircraft Simulator Manufacturer. In 1978, Jim co-founded Safety Training Systems, Inc., which is considered to be the leading supplier of cabin attendant training equipment to both the domestic and international airlines.
Jim enjoyed loading up the camper, boat and motorcycles and camping with his family. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends, telling a good story and watching football, especially OU.

 

Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
His Daughters; Terri Lynn Robertson and Fiance’ Timothy King and Tammy Dale Robertson, all of Owasso
His girlfriend; Virginia Shadrick of Collinsville
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Jo, brother Ralph Robertson and two sisters, Reon Allsup and Bernadean Bailey.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
