Jimmy Wayne Lambert was born December 21, 1938, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Tom H. and Jessie Melissa (Widener) Lambert. He died Monday, September, 8, 2014, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years. After completing his education, Jimmy and his brother Tom started their own business, Lamberts Auto Salvage in Tulsa, then later moving to Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was married December 27, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Judy K. Minnick. Jimmy loved cars whether it was working on cars, rebuilding cars, and racing cars, especially at the Tulsa Speedway.
Loving family members include: His wife of over 56 years; Judy, of the home Four children; Tammy Lambert, of the home Jimmy Lambert and his fiancé Gaye Gardner, of Claremore, OK Michael Lambert and his wife Christa, of Owasso Cathy Parese and her husband Billy, of Owasso Nine grandchildren; Mitchell Goins, Jordan Lambert, Trey Lambert, Joshua Goins, Cole Lambert, Kinzer Lambert, Taylor Lambert, Sarah Goins, and Austin Lambert Great granddaughter; Journee Lambert Daughters-in-law; Stephanie Pace-Braggs and Melissa Lambert He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Lambert, and two sisters, Pat Lambert and Joyce Lambert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Thursday, September 11, 2014, at First Christian Church in Owasso with Pastor Gary Cate officiating. Honoring him as casket bearers will be her six grandsons. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hannah’s Helping Hands, P.O.
