John Richard HallJohn Richard Hall was born May 1, 1948, in Branson, Missouri, to John Henry “Pete” and Roberta Floy “Bert” Anderson Hall. He died Thursday, January 23, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years. John completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1966He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. He continued his education attending Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and later his Master’s degree. John was married September 10, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Frances Ann Sellman. He spent much of his working life with Collinsville Public Schools as a math teacher and coach. He was a faithful member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso. John enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time golfing. He was an avid fan of Collinsville Cardinal Athletics filming their Friday night Cardinal football games as well as keeping score at many wrestling matches and basketball games. He was very fond of his role of Pop Pop and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren compete in their various sporting events.

Mike Hall and wife Erin, of Houston, Texas
Ben Hall and wife Sarah, of Woodward, Oklahoma
Grandchildren; Kevin Hall, Abby Hall, Hunter Hall, Lizzy Hall, Mitch Hall, Emily Hall
Elysse Hall, and Lilly Hall
Sister; Jody Hampton, of Owasso
Brother; Jack Hall and wife Mickie, Owasso
Mother; Bert Hall, of Owasso
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Hall.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020, at St. Henrys Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt LaChance officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Collinsville Education Foundation, P.O. Box 66, Collinsville, Oklahoma, 74021. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
