Kenneth Gwinn Roberts was born December 26, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Claude Roberts and Iris Minerva Campbell Roberts. He died Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years. Kenneth was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Protector, a Guardian-class radar picket ship. After his discharge, Kenneth married Kathy Brown on April 4, 1964, in Tulsa. He spent most of his working life as an electrician with Debco as well as Martin Electric.
Kenneth and his family made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, during the early 1970’s. He had attended Central Baptist Church. Kenneth enjoyed a variety of pastimes, particularly time spent on the water fishing. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Grandpa” or “Pepa”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Iris Roberts, daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Johnny Roberts, brothers, Ronney Roberts and Gary Roberts, and sister, Linda Short.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Tim Gramly officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Jason Roberts, Christian Brazell-Woodall, Ashley Henderson, Ken Roberts, Crystal Roberts, and Scott Roberts. Final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Kenneth’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38101, or www.stjude.org. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
