Linda Joann Holden was born February 15, 1948, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to John Robert and Georgia Inez (Deboard) Gibson. She died Monday, August 10, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years. Linda was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the McLain High School Class of 1966. She was married June 9, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Larry Holden. Linda worked primarily as a homemaker when her children were young and later as a paraprofessional with Owasso Public Schools helping special needs children. She had attended Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso for many years. Linda enjoyed a variety of pastimes including making and collecting ceramic dolls and jewelry. Over the years she made cakes for family and friends who were celebrating birthdays or other special events. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Chad Balthrop officiating. Final resting place will be in the Waterford Estates at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
