05/09/2019 – A local Family has been selected as the Special Olympics Oklahoma 2019 Family of the Year.
Johnny, Amy and Lane Peterson received notice this week that they had been selected for the honor.
Paige Martin with Oklahoma Special Olympics says this state award is presented each year to a family that exemplifies outstanding dedication and family commitment to Special Olympics.
The Family of the Year Award will be presented on Wednesday, May 15 during the Special Olympics Summer Games VIP Reception at Gallagher-Iba Arena. All award winners will also be recognized during our Opening Ceremony.
Johnny Petersen is the Fire Marshal for the City of Owasso.
