Build a Reader Storytime: Babies & Toddlers: Tuesdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27 @ 10-10:25 a.m.; 10:30-10:55 a.m. Join Ms. Shelly for fun stories, songs, and activities that help your child develop important early literacy skills. For infants to 2-year-olds.

 

Build a Reader Storytime: Preschoolers: Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 @ 10:30-10:55 a.m. The best in children’s literature, songs, games, finger plays, rhymes and other reading-related activities are shared with your preschooler. For ages 3-5.

 

Build a Reader Stay and Play: Tuesdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27 @ 11-11:25 a.m.; Wednesdays, March 7, 14, 21, 28 @ 11-11:25 a.m. For babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, playing is learning! Join us for toys, activities and art experiences that develop your child’s early literacy skills. For ages birth-5.

 

Chair Yoga For Adults: Low-Key Beginner’s Class: Thursday, March 8th @ 1-1:30 p.m. Practicing yoga and meditation reduces anxiety and stress, improves mental clarity and even helps you sleep better. Join Jeanne Doss from Tranquility Yoga Studio for meditation and chair yoga. Learn about the six movements of the spine, range of motion for the joints, and practicing breath control and meditation. Come as you are; no mats or special clothes are necessary. No experience required!

 

Tween/Teen Board Games: Friday, March 9th @ 4-5 p.m. Do you enjoy playing board games like “Apples to Apples,” “Exploding Kittens,” “Munchkin” and “Ticket to Ride”? Join us to play these fun games and more. Snacks will be provided! For ages 10-18.

 

Spring Gardening Program: Saturday, March 10th @ 11am-noon. Join us for a presentation from the Tulsa Master Gardeners about how to prepare your garden for springtime. Learn tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your garden. Bring your gardening questions for a Q&A session and take home some seeds to get started! For adults.

 

PAWS For Reading: Wednesday, March 14th @ 4-5 p.m. Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Kids are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Raymond and Bessie Kravis Foundation through the Tulsa Library Trust. For ages 5-12. Registration is required and class size is limited. Bedtime Stories: Thursday, March 15th @ 6:30-7 p.m. Bring the whole family for this 0-to-5 storytime! There’s something for everyone – simple songs and books for the little ones, more interactive stories and activities for your older children. Wear your pajamas if you’d like!

 

Teen Tech: Cubelets: Friday, March 16th @ 4-5 p.m. Celebrate Teen Tech month with a program about cubelets! We will explore cubelets and use them to make our own robots. For ages 10-18.

 

Spring Break Movie: Thursday, March 22nd @ 2-4:30 p.m. Join us for a movie and popcorn! Movie will be rated G or PG. For ages 5 and up.

 

Diabetes Education and Empowerment Program (DEEP): Wednesdays, March 28; April 4, 11, 18, 25; and May 2 @ 2-3:30 p.m. This fun, interactive six-part series is designed for people with diabetes or those caring for someone with diabetes. This class is open to individuals who are pre-diabetic, have been diagnosed with diabetes, or think they may have it and family and caregivers. Topics include risk factors, complications, nutrition, physical activity, use of a glucose meter, working with a diabetes care team and accessing community resources.

• Find out how diabetes affects your body

• Make sense of your blood sugar numbers

• Meet others who have diabetes

• Have fun learning in a small group through games, activities, and support conversations
