Marlon K. George was born September 24, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Lonnie Keith and Marie (Macy) George. He died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years. Marlon completed his secondary education in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and was graduated with the Pascagoula High School Class of 1971. He continued his education attending the University of Tulsa. Marlon was married February 16, 1980, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Pam Thompson. He spent most of his working life as a designer, most recently as senior mechanical designer with ESDC in Tulsa. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially golfing, and was an avid Texas Longhorns fan. Marlon particularly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Owasso with Pastor Chuck Horton officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the FUMC Food Pantry, 13800 East 106th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055.
