Matthew Scott LampkinMatthew Scott Lampkin was born August 30, 1974, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to James Robert Lampkin and Letha Jane Tracy Lampkin. He passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 48 years old. Scott was reared and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1992. Scott married the love of his life March 11, 1993, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ancheskia Fay Davenport. They spent over 30 years of marriage together. He continued his education attending Langston University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in business administration information systems in 2000. He was working on his Master’s degree through the University of Oklahoma. Scott spent most of his professional working life as a senior manager with Verizon Business. Scott was a strong man of faith and was an active member of Church On The Move in Tulsa. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including watching action movies and going fishing. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan and never missed watching an OU game. He enjoyed being active with the Boy Scouts with his son Aiden. He never missed his daughters Avery’s volleyball matches and was the Owasso Lady Rams biggest fan. He also enjoyed spending one on one time with his oldest daughter Ashton and his grandson Bryar. Most important to Scott was spending time with his family who he dearly loved.

Mother; Letha Lampkin, of Shawnee, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his father, James Lampkin, and grandparents, Robert and Virgie Lampkin, and Lewis and Annabell Tracy.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Joe Robinson and Eric Robinson officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Danny Lampkin, Dakota Batey, Eric Robinson, Daniel McLerran, Billy Goodchild, and Alexander McLerran. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family kindly requests memorial contributions be made in Scott’s memory to the Owasso Lady Rams Volleyball Booster Club, 7019 North 197th East Place, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055.
