Merlyn-Maulsby-1527153094Merlyn Ray Maulsby was born February 1, 1940, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Cale Mark Maulsby and Ruth Naomi (Myers) Maulsby. He passed from this life Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Merlyn was raised and educated in Mutual, Oklahoma and graduated with the Wichita North High School Class of 1958. After high school he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. Merlyn married Verna Jean (Neff) Maulsby in WaKeeney, Kansas on March 27, 1965. He spent most of his working life as an Airlines Baggage Handler with Ozark and Braniff Airlines. Merlyn has been a faithful member of Meadowcreek United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Oklahoma for 45 years. He had a variety of pastimes such as fishing, camping, hunting, archery, and watching OU football.

Greg Maulsby and wife Anita, of Coffeyville, Kansas
4 Granddaughters;
Alexa, Kayla, Amelia, and Miranda Maulsby, all of Coffeyville, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cale and Ruth, 2 brothers, George and Gary, and 1 sister, Roberta Kay.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Meadowcreek United Methodist Church in Collinsville with Pastor Mark Whitley officiating. There will be visitation 1 hour prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in Merlyn’s memory to National Kidney Foundation, 6405 Metcalf Avenue Suite 204, Overland Park, Kansas 66202. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
