Nancy Jean Carleton was born on July 23, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Eugene Caughron and Nell (Peacock) Caughron. She passed from this life on Monday, June 23, 2025, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. Nancy was raised and educated in Tulsa and attended Central High School. She was married in September of 1969, in Claremore, Oklahoma to John R. Carleton. Nancy spent most of her working life in the home raising her two daughters. She was a longtime faithful member of Freedom Church in Owasso where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed a variety of past times such as working on home improvement projects and making her grandchildren crafty items such as children’s books, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Nell Caughron, and her daughter, Angela Nell Carleton.
