Norma Dean LogsdonNorma Dean Logsdon was born June 29, 1931, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Harold Truman and Verna Marie Eastin Gaylord. She died Sunday, January 17, 2021, in Owasso at the age of 89 years. Norma completed her secondary education in Collinsville, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Collinsville High School Class of 1949 as class Valedictorian. While in high school, she worked at the local dime store in Collinsville. She was married May 30, 1950, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Andrew Jackson “Jack” Logsdon. Norma worked as a stenographer and dictation recorder at the Oklahoma Department of Welfare from 1949-1951. She then worked with the Social Security Administration from 1952-1954 and the Rural Electric Co-op of Collinsville from 1966-1967. She was a loving mother and wife who worked as a homemaker caring for her family. Norma was a strong woman of faith and a regular church attendee of Discovery Bible Fellowship in Collinsville, formerly Westport Mennonite Brethren Church, for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Allen/Limestone School Club. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including gardening and flower gardening, reading, studying history, and researching genealogy. She loved spending time with her family, especially the children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack Logsdon, sister, Lola Reeves and her husband Don, brother, Floyd Gaylord, and brother-in-law, Don Kerr
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. A private family service will be held with interment to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Little Light House, 5120 East 36th Street North, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74135, www.littlelighthouse.org , or the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylsetown, Pennsylvania, 18901, www.dementiasociety.org . Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
