Build A Reader Storytime: Preschool Wednesdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 10-10:25 a.m. OR 10:30-10:55 a.m. Mr. Steven shares the best in children’s literature, songs, games, finger plays, rhymes and other reading-related activities with your preschooler.

 

Build A Reader Storytime: Babies & Toddlers Tuesdays, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 • 10-10:25 a.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 • 10:30-10:55 a.m. Join Ms. Shelly for fun stories, songs and activities that help your child develop important early literacy skills. For infants to 2-year-olds.

 

Build A Reader: Stay and Play Tuesdays, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 • 11-11:25 a.m. For babies, toddlers and preschoolers, playing is learning! Join us for games, toys and art activities that foster critical early literacy skills.

 

Bedtime Stories Thursday, Nov. 16 • 6:30-7 p.m. Join us for a family storytime for ages 6 and younger.

 

PAWS for Reading Wednesday, Nov. 29 • 4-5 p.m. Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Kids ages 5-12 are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Tulsa Library Trust. Class size is limited and registration is required. Learn to Meditate: Chair Yoga Thursday, Nov. 2 • 7:15-7:45 p.m. This low-key beginner’s class will feature meditation and chair yoga, taught by Jeanne K. Doss, a certified yoga instructor. Practicing yoga and meditation reduces anxiety and stress, improves mental clarity and even helps you sleep better. For adults.

 

Sewing Fundamentals Workshop: How to Read a Pattern Tuesday, Nov. 7 • 4-5:15 p.m. Have you ever wanted to complete a sewing project that required a pattern and didn’t know where to start? This is the class for you. We will go through how to read a pattern and how to cut fabric to the pattern specifications. There also will be a discussion of the various standard math required in pattern reading. We will cut out an animal stuffie pattern and begin working on it. Registration is required. No More Photo Clutter: How to Organize Your Print and Digital Photos Tuesday, Nov. 7 • 6-7 p.m. Join Deronda Moore, owner of Moore Reflections, and learn the best ways to organize your print pictures, plus get tips for organizing your full photo collection, including how to add keywords and tags, use Windows 10 photos program, and scan and digitize photos. Sewing Fundamentals Workshop: Sewing Machine Demo Tuesday, Nov. 21 • 4-5:15 p.m. Do you have a sewing machine that is just gathering dust? Bring it to this workshop and we’ll show you how to thread it, plus learn the various stitches on computerized and mechanical machines. We also will continue working on our animal stuffies that we started at the previous workshop. Registration is required.
