Steven Ray Bauer was born August 17, 1953, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Freddie Raymond Bauer and Carol “June” Caudill Bauer. He died on January 4, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Steve completed his secondary education in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1972. He married Patricia “Trish” Crutchfield on September 6, 1975, in Turley, Oklahoma. Steve worked for over 30 years for American Airlines in Tulsa. Steven Ray Bauer
He enjoyed spending time with his family whom he dearly loved as well as his friends, who affectionately called him “Ode” or “Otis”. Steve enjoyed being outdoors going camping and manicuring his yard, which may have included playing real-life Whack-A-Mole. He was a fan of cars, going to car shows, or just looking at cars on the internet. He was a fan of the old westerns such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and John Wayne movies.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Bauer, and in-laws, Ruth and Bill Crutchfield, and twin grandsons Ethan and Avery Ross.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Rex Black officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s memory to the charity of your choice. Private family disposition will be held at a later date.
