Omer-Brunner-1526651352Omer Dean Brunner was born December 19, 1928, in Ramona, Kansas, to Solomon Brunner and Hannah (Longhofer) Brunner. He passed from this life Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years. Omer was raised and educated in Hope, Kansas and graduated with the Hope High School Class of 1945. After high school he enlisted and served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. Omer was honorably discharged and a few years later he married Martha Ann (Shoemake) Brunner on November 6, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Omer spent most of his working life as an Aircraft Mechanic with American Airlines. He was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Owasso, Oklahoma after moving to Owasso in 1970. Omer had a variety of pastimes such as hunting, camping, gardening, and working on cars as he was known as “The Neighborhood Mechanic.”

He was Preceded in death by his parents, Solomon and Hannah, wife, Martha, daughter, Diane, 3 brothers, Oren, James, and Irvin, and sister, Neva.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mark Neumann officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service. www.moweryfs.com
