07/12/2017 – Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports an injury collision occurred Wednesday morning at approximately 7:25am on US169 southbound, approximately .5 miles south of 66th Street North, .5 miles south of Owasso, OK in Tulsa County. The highway was closed for approximately 1 hour while accident was cleared. Traffic was backed up to the north for several miles.

A disabled 2003 Dodge Ram driven by Nora Adams, age 53 of Claremore was on the inside shoulder of southbound US169. Traffic was slowing when a Harley Davidson driven by Robert McAfee,  age 29, of Oolagah departed the roadway to the left and struck the rear of Adams vehicle.  McAfee was separated from the motorcycle and came to rest in the roadway. He was transported by Owasso EMS to St John Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk external, trunk internal,  arm and leg injuries. 

Adams was transported by private vehicle to St John Hospital in Tulsa where she was treated and released.
