Ordonna Marie Hill Sanders, resident of the Owasso Baptist Village, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 03, 2014 at the age of 96 years. She was born June 26, 1918 at Kincaid, Kansas to Paul William and Nellie Goldine (Chandler) Butcher. Ordonna spent her early years in Kincaid, before the family moved to Bartlesville. On September 6, 1966, Ordonna was united in marriage to Clarence E. (Sandy) Sanders in Bartlesville. She worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a clerk in the accounting department until retirement in 1975. Ordonna was a longtime member of the Bartlesville First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed sewing and while her husband was alive, going fishing. Mr. Sanders preceded her in death in Sept. of 2000.
Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are her daughters Sandra Curtis and husband Robert of Antioch, Tennessee and Barbara Morrison and husband Bob of Owasso; step daughters Lillian Williams of Tulsa, Janice Collins of East Hampton, New York; four grandchildren Kim Richardson of Owasso, Kristi Hughes of Oologah, OK, Lisa Crawford of Murfreesboro, TN and Greg Jimison also of Murfreesboro; three step grandchildren Vanessa Hoose, Stephen Williams, Brendan Collins; four great grandchildren Kelsi Hughes, Luke Richardson, Jessica Burns, Justin Mote and eight great great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Ordonna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a step daughter.
Graveside services were held Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Bartlesville with Pastor Allen Richard officiating.
