On Thursday, July 17, 2014 the Owasso Community Center hosted a senior pool tournament for the Four State Region Pool Association. This was one of five tournaments Owasso hosts for the association in 2014. The association consists of Senior Centers in Miami, Grove, Joplin, MO, Bentonville, AR, Neosho, MO and Owasso. This is a very unique group. It is doubtful there is anything like it elsewhere in the country. Players must be a minimum of 60 years of age. The tournament is open to both men and women from the participating centers. This week’s tournament drew 38 entries. Play began at 9:00 AM and ended at 5:00 PM. There were players from Owasso, Broken Arrow, Coweta, Skiatook, Vinita, Collinsville, Tulsa, Bentonville, AR. and Joplin MO.
