OU and OSU Shirt 2015

November 10, 2015 ─ With the Bedlam football game approaching, Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) is giving everyone the chance to get their game on. Each blood donor at Owasso High School from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, will receive a 2015 special edition OU or OSU T-shirt.

All healthy adults, 16 years and older**, are urged to give. Donations take about an hour and can be made every 56 days.

Oklahoma Blood Institute is Oklahoma’s local, non-profit, blood center that provides every drop of blood needed by patients in 90 percent of the medical facilities across the state including all Children’s, Veteran’s and Indian hospitals.

“It’s easy to get fired up about this great Bedlam rivalry. Surely, we can get just as passionate about saving the lives of our neighbors and friends,” said John Armitage, M.D., Oklahoma Blood Institute President and CEO. “Patients fighting for their lives are counting on us to step up and give.”

Donors can opt to forgo the T-shirts. Funds designated for them will be directed to an international charity, Global Blood Fund. It is a nonprofit that provides blood center technology and supplies to struggling blood centers around the world so they can meet local needs through voluntary blood donation.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made at obi.org or by calling 877-340-8777.
